ALL ABOUT DEATH

Death is a race. It is the only race in this world where nobody wants to be first. It is the most unpredictable race – nobody knows who goes first. It is the only race where even if you are the last to die, you will never get to celebrate victory. Death is a bitter-sweet event. The bitterness comes from remorse, sadness and longing. The sweetness comes from the thought of release from suffering, the thought of a happy and contented life the deceased had lived. Bitterness is physical, sweetness is an emotional state. One can never understand what it feels like to live in a life when somebody close your heart passes away. They say experience is the best teacher – but, having to deal with death is probably the experience that nobody wants to go through. People can pour in condolences and encouraging words, but the feeling of relief, admittedly is temporary. The need to fill in the longing is a lifetime.
